Summary

A COMPLEX MATHEMATICAL MODEL DESCRIBING THE HEAT AND MASS TRANSFER PROCESS IN POROUS PLATES IS PRESENTED. THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE PROPOSED MATHEMATICAL MODEL ENABLES ONE TO CHOOSE, WITH SUFFICIENT ACCURACY, THE RATIONAL MANUFACTURE OF AN INDIRECT EVAPORATION AND REGENERATION AIR COOLER AND ITS OPERATING PARAMETERS ACCORDING TO EXTERNAL CONDITIONS ; THE RESULTS ARE CONFIRMED BY TESTS ON THESE AIR COOLERS.
