Summary

These panels are one of the alternative solutions for replacing polyurethane foams made from fluorochlorides. They are formed out of a filling material (pearlite, silica) confined in a polymeric film, the tightness of which is strengthened with an aluminium coating. In order to reduce their thermal conductivity, these panels are put under vacuum to reduce gas conduction. They are particularly appropriate for refrigeration installations.
