This draft of European standard has been drawn up by technical committee CEN/TC 228. If it becomes a European standard, CEN members are bound to comply with the CEN/CENELEC-international regulations. The standard describes the calculation of design heat load on a room or zone by zone basis for the purpose of dimensioning the emitters, and on a whole building basis for the purpose of dimensioning the heat supply. The calculation method given in this standard, is a method expressed in steady state conditions. However, the dynamic effects of, for example, thermal mass are taken into account.
