MICRO-ELECTRONICS, COMPUTERS AND REFRIGERATION.

Author(s) : NOWOTNY S.

Summary

AN OVERVIEW IS GIVEN ABOUT THE PRESENT STATE OF THE ART OF MICRO-ELECTRONICS, COMPUTERS AND THEIR USE IN RESEARCH, DESIGN, MANUFACTURING, AND CONTROL OF REFRIGERATING EQUIPMENT. RECENT TRENDS AND CHIEF IMPORTANCE OF THEIR APPLICATION ARE DEMON-STRATED. SPECIAL ATTENTION IS PAID TO THE EFFICIENCY OF COMPUTERS, COMPUTER GRAPHICS, TELECOMMUNICATION, ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE, DATA BANKS, COMPUTER-AIDED-DESIGN, COMPUTER-AIDED-MANUFACTURING, COMPUTER-INTEGRATED-MANUFACTURING, AND PROCESS CONTROL. CONCLUSIONS ARE THAT REFRIGERATION HAS OPENED UP A NEW ERA FOR THE UTILIZATION OF MICRO-ELECTRONICS AND COMPUTERS, AND THAT GREAT EFFORTS WILL BE NECESSARY TO DEVELOP FIELDS OF APPLICATION WHICH ARE BOTH PRACTICAL AND ECONOMICAL.
