Modelling and verification of thin film evaporative heat transfer.

Summary

The paper presents a strategy aiming to design comprehensive modelling of the main technological processes, including microscale evaporation phenomena, and provides experimental methods to verify the model calculations. The model includes simultaneous determination of the macroscale temperature field using the finite-element-method in combination with the solution of the system of ordinary differential equations to determine the characteristics of microscale transport processes. Specific examples of the application of the above strategy and the successful experimental verification are discussed.
