THE PAPER DESCRIBES AN ANALYTICAL MODEL WHICH WAS DEVELOPED TO PREDICT THE PERFORMANCE OF FINNED-TUBE HEAT EXCHANGERS UNDER FROSTING CONDITIONS. IT MODELS THE FROST GROWTH MECHANISM AND THE HEAT EXCHANGER PERFORMANCE IN A COMPREHENSIVE MANNER. THIS MODEL WILL PROVIDE THE BASIS FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF A COMPLETE FROST-HEAT EXCHANGER MODEL.
