Summary

THIS ARTICLE DEALS MAINLY WITH THE COOLING COIL TYPE OF AIR CONDITIONING APPARATUS. IT IS ASSUMED THAT THE COOLING COIL BYPASS FACTOR IS FIXED, THAT THE RETURN-OUTSIDE AIR MIXTURE TEMPERATURE REMAINS CONSTANT AND THAT THE APPARATUS DEWPOINT IS VARIABLE BY MEANS OF A THERMOSTATICALLY CONTROLLED SUCTION TEMPERATURE CONTROLLER. ALTERNATIVE PSYCHROMETRIC CYCLES ARE COMPARED AND SHOWN ON SKELETON CHARTS. SUMMER AND WINTER CYCLES ARE DISCUSSED. E.W.S.
