Summary

NUCLEATE POOL BOILING HEAT TRANSFER COEFFICIENTS FOR ACETONE-ETHANOL AND METHYLENE CHLORIDE-ETHANOL BINARY MIXTURES ARE MEASURED AT PRESSURES RANGING FROM 200 TO 500 KILOPASCALS AT WHICH THE HEAT FLUXES ARE VARIED FROM 10 TO 40 KILOWATTS/M2. EXPERIMENTAL RESULTS ARE TESTED WITH THE CORRELATIONS OF HAPPEL-STEPHAN AND SCHMADL-BIER. ALTHOUGH BOTH CORRELATIONS ARE IN GOOD AGREEMENT WITH THE EXPERIMENTAL RESULTS, HAPPEL-STEPHAN'S CORRELATION IS THE MORE REPRESENTATIVE FORM.
