Summary

CEILING COOLERS CARRY OFF THE HEAT LOAD IN A ROOM BY MEANS OF COLD-WATER PIPES BURIED IN THE CEILING. IN ORDER TO INCREASE THE HEAT-EXCHANGE SURFACE, HEAT-CONDUCTING FINS OR GRIDS ARE ATTACHED TO THE PIPES. CONVECTION AND RADIATION PROVIDE FOR HEAT EXCHANGE BETWEEN ROOM AND CEILING. CEILINGS AND HEAT-CONDUCTING ELEMENTS ARE AVAILABLE IN A VARTN THERE ARE ALSO OPTIONS FOR INTEGRATING THE COOLING PIPES INTO THE CEILING. THEY CAN BE CONCEALED BEHIND PLASTER, PLACED ALONG THE VISIBLE SURFACE, OR SUSPENDED BENEATH THE CEILING.
