Summary

SOME EQUATIONS FOR CALCULATING HEAT GAIN THROUGH REFRIGERATOR WALLS ARE GIVEN. THE AUTHORS FIRST PRESENT AN EQUATION FOR CALCULATING OPTIMUM INSULATION THICKNESS AND THEN ANOTHER ONE FOR DETERMINING HEAT GAIN, BOTH OF WHICH CAN BE WORKED OUT ON A MICROCOMPUTER USING THE BASIC LANGUAGE. THESE 2 WERE THEN APPLIED TO A MINSK-15M REFRIGERATOR, THE RESULTS OF WHICH APPLICATION ARE DESCRIBED.
