Optimum aspect ratio for heat transfer enhancement in curved rectangular channels.
Author(s) : JOYE D. D.
Type of article: Article
Summary
The theoretical maximum enhancement is shown to be about 480% over a straight-duct, turbulent-flow situation. This is not achievable in practice, but near-optimal solutions are achievable, yielding enhancements on the order of 200-300%.
