Summary
The paper presents the results of the energy and tribological studies carried out on non-lubricated reciprocating compressors. The oil-free compressor was tested on a laboratory test rig with a series of ecological refrigerants including R134a. The non-lubricated sliding couples consist of the cylinder, made from aluminium oxide, and rings made of the PTFE composite.
