Type of article: Article
Summary
Assesses the performance of heat pipe heat recovery units for naturally ventilated buildings. Reports the measurement in a two-zone chamber of the effectiveness of four heat pipe units. Recommends that in a naturally ventilated low-rise building without wind effect or solar energy, the design mean air velocity should be less than 1 metre per second for a heat recovery system to function properly.
