Performance of an electrostatic air cleaner in filtering single and mixed aerosol populations.
Author(s) : RICKMAN A. C.
Type of article: Article
Summary
Describes an investigation of the performance of a commercially available electrostatic air cleaner in filtering aerosols of concern to health, with efficiency related to gas flow rate. Finds that although the air cleaner was reliable for aerosols comprising particles smaller than 5 micrometres, the presence of large pollen grains resulted in particle-knock re-entrainment.
