Summary

REPORTS THE MEASUREMENT OF THE INDOOR CLIMATE AND VENTILATION IN 50 DWELLINGS WITH VARIOUS VENTILATION SYSTEMS. THE HEALTH AND COMFORT OF THE OCCUPANTS WERE DETERMINED WITH THE AID OF A QUESTIONNAIRE. FINDS A STATISTICALLY SIGNIFICANT CORRELATION BETWEEN THE VENTILATION RATE AND THE TYPICAL SICK BUILDING SYMPTOMS EXPRESSED BY THE OCCUPANTS. WHEN THE VENTILATION RATE WAS BELOW 0.3 M3/H M3, PEOPLE DISPLAYED MORE SYMPTOMS THAN WHEN THE RATE WAS ABOVE 0.6 M3/H M3.
