Photoelectrochemical characteristics of photocathodes made of high-temperature superconducting ceramics.

Summary

Superconducting samples of YBCO and BSCCO ceramics have been prepared. To obtain ceramic samples suitable for electrochemical applications, superconducting samples have been annealed at different temperatures and quenched, or doped with different ligands (potassium, sodium, cesium, chlorine, gallium, aluminium, chromium, iron, nickel, lithium). The temperature dependences of the resistivity and photoelectrochemical properties of the prepared samples have been investigated. The low efficiency of the prepared photocathodes is discussed in the terms of non-optimal resistivity of the prepared samples.
