Type of article: Article
Summary
For outdoor HVAC systems, noise generated by equipment such as fans, air-cooled chillers, dry-coolers, pumps, and cooling towers needs to be predicted at a receiver location. The factors that play a role in predicting the ultimate sound level heard at a site from HVAC equipment include application of manufacturers' sound data, location effects, source noise control, and outdoor sound propagation.
