Summary
This article discusses the problems of living environments in hot and humid regions of Asia where population increases and concentration in cities are intense, and proposes an energy-efficient indoor environmental control strategy. It presents the results of a field study in Hanoi, Vietnam and then describes the concept of a hybrid cooling system that used radiation panel cooling and natural cross-ventilation. The performance of the hybrid cooling system is analysed using the CFD simulation method.
