RADIANT HEATING MAY RESULT IN A HIGH AIR TEMPERATURE GRADIENT. HEAT FLOW IS EXPRESSED AS A BALANCE BETWEEN SURFACE AND AIR TEMPERATURES, AND QUANTIFIES THIS VERTICAL GRADI THE CALCULATED TEMPERATURES ARE USED TO PREDICT COMFORT LEVELS, AND PROVIDE A MORE ACCURATE ESTIMATE OF HEAT LOSSES. A.R.T.
