Proceedings of the 2nd Asia-Pacific congress of low temperature medicine and 5th China-Japan congress of low temperature medicine, held in Xi'an, China, October 11-14, 1993. The congress was organized by the Chinese Association of Refrigeration, under the sponsorship of the IIR, International Society of Cryosurgery, Japan Society for Cryosurgery, Japan Society for Low Temperature Medicine and the National Natural Science Foundation of China. Containing the basic study of cryomedicine and cryobiology, researches and applications on cryopreservation, cryoimmunology, cryomedical apparatus and instruments and various branches of cryosurgery, these proceedings reflect the recent achievements in the field of low temperature medicine.
