REFRIGERATION SYSTEMS AND PRODUCTIVITY.

Author(s) : STOLK A. L.

Summary

REFRIGERATION CAN ENHANCE THE PRODUCTIVITY OF PEOPLE BY IMPROVING THEIR WORKING ENVIRONMENT. THE APPLICATION OF VERY LOW TEMPERATURES CAN HELP TO RAISE PRODUCTIVITY. MANY PROCESSES CAN BE CARRIED OUTIN A CHEAPER WAY WHEN TEMPERATURES ARE LOWERED. WHEN EXPENSIVE MATERIALS ARE INCLUDED INTO THE WASTES FROM PROCESSES, REFRIGERATION CAN SEPARATE THESE MATERIALS SO THEY CAN BE USED AGAIN. FURTHERMORE, THERE ARE EXAMPLES OF PROBLEMS THAT CAN ONLY BE SOLVED WITH THE AID OF LOW TEMPERATURES. THE PAPER GIVES SOME EXAMPLES OF THE ABOVE MENTIONED POSSIBILITIES. ANOTHER IMPORTANT REMARK CONCERN THE EFFICIENCY OF MACHINES. THIS MATTER IS DISCUSSED IN THE PAPER. WITH THE AID OF COMPUTER SIMULATION TECHNIQUES, REFRIGERATION SYSTEMS CAN BE SATISFACTORILY OPTIMISED. CONTROL TECHNIQUES USING MICRO-ELECTRONICS CAN ENHANCE EFFICIENCY AND SAVE MONEY.
