Summary

BOILING HEAT TRANSFER EXPERIMENTS WERE CARRIED OUT AT ATMOSPHERIC AND REDUCED PRESSURE CONDITIONS FOR A SINGLE HORIZONTAL HEATING TUBE WITH DISTILLED WATER AND 55% LITHIUM BROMIDE AQUEOUS SOLUTION. EXPERIMENTAL RESULTS WERE CORRELATED BY THE NISHIKAWA EQUATION FOR THE WATER AND THE SOLUTION WITH PROPERLY SELECTED VALUES OF FORMABILITY, AND BY THE MINCHENKO EQUATION WITH SLIGHTLY MODIFIED EXPERIMENTAL CONSTANT FOR THE SOLUTION.
