Summary

This good practice guide, achieved with the collaboration of the national trade unions and federations of the FFB (French Building Industry Federation), recalls the importance of reducing air permeability of masonry or concrete buildings. It presents simple technical solutions in order to achieve a continuous airtight barrier, particularly with the interfaces between trades. It lies within the scope of the implementation of thermal regulation known as "RT 2000". Extract from the table of contents: walls with small masonry elements or rammed concrete; exterior masonry; interior doubling; trap door for access to the roof; crossing of the wall by a drain; ventilation (intake air inlets; extraction outlets).
