This article presents some views centering on problems encountered in design selection of screw chilled water units, including thread moulded line and number of teeth of the screw, open and closed types, single or double screws, method of refrigerating effect control, with or without energy efficiency implementation, dry-expansion and flooded evaporators, thermostatic and electronic expansion valves.
