SENSORS FOR DEMAND-CONTROLLED VENTILATING SYSTEM.
Author(s) : MEIER S.
Type of article: Article
Summary
INDOOR AIR QUALITY IS AFFECTED BY AT LEAST 20 CONTAMINANTS, AND IS TREATED MAINLY BY THE INTRODUCTION OF < FRESH > AIR. THIS PROPORTION OF OUTSIDE AIR IS OFTEN REDUCED TO CONSERVE ENERGY. SENSORS ARE AVAILABLE WHICH CAN MEASURE THE CONCENTRATIONS OF SOME OF THESE CONTAMINANTS AND THESE WILL ALSO INDICATE POSSIBLE HIGH LEVELS OF OTHER SUBSTANCES. THIS SIGNAL IS USED TO MODULATE THE SUPPLY OF OUTSIDE AIR. A.R.T.
