THE MOSCOW N 12 REFRIGERATION COMBINE DEVELOPED A SILENCER IN ORDER TO DECREASE THE NOISE LEVEL OF ELECTRIC MOTORS IN SCREW COMPRESSORS. THE STRUCTURE OF THE SILENCER AND ITS ASSEMBLING AND ERECTION SEQUENCE ARE DESCRIBED. WITH THE USE OF THE SILENCER, THE NOISE LEVEL IN THE COMPRESSOR ROOM WAS DECREASED BY NEARLY 10%.
