Summary

MEASURING REFRIGERATING CAPACITY OF SMALL REFRIGERATING INSTALLATIONS CAN ESTABLISH WHETHER THE INSTALLATION MEETS THE SPECIFICATIONS OR WHETHER DEFECTS HAVE DEVELOPED. IN ORDER TO MEASURE THE REFRIGERATING CAPACITY IN A SIMPLE WAY, SOME ARRANGEMENTS HAVE TO BE MADE. THE REFRIGERANT MASS FLOW CAN BE MEASURED IN THE LIQUID LINE WHEN IT IS ASSURED THAT THERE ARE NO VAPOUR BUBBLES IN THE FLOWMETER. STARTING-POINT FOR THE MEASURING PROCEDURE IS THAT THE MEASUREMENTS CAN BE PERFORMED FOR AT LEAST HALF AN HOUR UNDER REASONABLE STABLE OPERATING CONDITIONS. THE ERROR IN THE DETERMINATION OF THE REFRIGERATING CAPACITY IS ABOUT 10%.
