Summary
Within the framework of federal building measures (necessary for the shift of the German capital from Bonn to Berlin), two solar-assisted air-conditioning systems have been realised using absorption chillers. A third system with an adsorption chiller is under construction. In addition to a detailed system configuration description, initial measurements are presented. The conclusions drawn from operating experiences and the investigated part-load behaviour of sorption chillers will be valuable for the design of future solar cooling systems.
