Summary
THE CONDITIONS OF INTENSIFICATION OF HEAT EXCHANGE OF BOILING NITROGEN ARE OF PARTICULAR INTEREST TO THE PHYSICS OF BOILING AND TO THE DEVELOPMENT OF COOLING SYSTEMS. AN EXPERIMENTAL STUDY IS MADE OF THE HEAT EMISSION AND OF THE CRITICAL BOILING RANGE OF NITROGEN AT ATMOSPHERIC PRESSURE IN A VERTICAL ANNULAR PIPE (100 MILLIMETER LONG), INTERIOR DIAMETER OF THE EMITTING SUFACE: 7 MILLIMETERS. STUDY OF PIPING WITH AND WITHOUT CIRCULATION. THE EXPERIMENTAL RESULTS ARE IN GOOD AGREEMENT WITH KNOWN FORMULAE.
