Summary

ACCORDING TO SIMILARITY THEORY THE PAPER DEMONSTRATES THAT IF 2 CRYOGENIC TURBINES ARE SIMILAR, THEIR VELOCITY RATIOS, DEGREE OF NOZZLE REACTION AND EFFICIENCIES ARE EQUAL. USING SIMILARITY RELATIONS THE PERFORMANCE CHARACTERISTICS OF A CRYOGENIC TURBINE CAN BE PREDICTED BY COMPUTER CALCULATIONS WHICH CAN REPLACE PERFORMANCE TESTS WHICH ARE MORE EXPENSIVE.
