Summary
Following a short introduction of scroll technology (and of the Copeland product line), the numerous advantages that scroll compressors offer, are discussed. Then the main applications in Europe and current development plans are presented. The different articles in the series stress applications in air-conditioning and middle-range temperatures, since it is here that the most progress has been made. The final article takes a look at the new "compliant scroll" and describes it.
