The development of the pulse-tube refrigerator.
[In Japanese. / En japonais.]
Author(s) : IKEGAMI K.
Type of article: Article
Summary
The author developed an orifice pulse-tube refrigerator with helium gas as the refrigerant. This refrigerator achieved a low temperature of 67 K (-207 deg C) with no load; it produced about 4 watts of refrigeration power at 80 K. It can be used in cooling infrared detector systems and most small systems employing high temperature superconductive devices.
