THE EFFECTS OF DESIGN PARAMETERS ON THE DISPLACEMENT AND COMPRESSION RATIO OF THE WANKEL ROTARY COMPRESSOR.

Author(s) : BEARD J. E., PENNOCK G. R.

Summary

THE DISPLACEMENT AND COMPRESSION RATIO OF THE WANKEL ROTARY COMPRESSOR ARE FUNCTIONS OF THE TROCHOID RATIO AND THE GENERATING RATIO. THE PAPER PRESENTS THE INFLUENCE OF THESE 2 DESIGN PARAMETERS ON THE DISPLACEMENT AND THE MAXIMUM THEORETICAL COMPRESSION RATIO. IT ALSO PRESENTS THE GOVERNING EQUATIONS FOR THE DISPLACEMENT WITH SPECIAL ATTENTION TO THE INFLUENCE OF THE OFFSET. ALSO PRESENTED IS THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN THE FLOW RATE AND THE ANGULAR POSITION OF THE ROTOR.
