Summary

The recent publication of the new italian general law on noise pollution (Law n. 447/95) gives even more emphasis to the problem of noise control in HVAC systems. In the paper a preliminary analysis of the possible consequences of this law is carried out and the design tools, mainly of regulatory nature, available to designers and contractors in this field, are reviewed.
