Summary
The contaminated outdoor air introduced into buildings is one of the factors worsening indoor air quality, and the current practice of prehandling fresh air merely by coarse filtration would cause severe indoor pollution. The article analyzes the beneficial effects of three-stage filtration of fresh air not only for internal air quality (IAQ) but for equipment life cycle, operation costs and energy consumption.
