OBSERVATION OF A RETINOPATHY IN A 28-WEEK PREMATURE TREATED BY CRYOCOAGULATION ON THE WHOLE PERIPHERIC RETINA [2.5 MM IMPACTS DURING 4 TO 5 SEC WITH A CRYOPROBE COOLED TO 213 K (-60 DEG C)] ; A SECOND CRYOCOAGULATION PROCESS WAS DONE AFTER ONE MONTH. THE RESULTS ARE CONSIDERED AS SATISFACTORY IN THIS INFANT AT THE AGE OF 9 MONTHS. RETINAL CRYOCOAGULATION IS MORE EASY THAN PHOTOCOAGULATION IN SUCH CASES, ESPECIALLY AS IT CAUSES LESS HEMORRAGHE.
