Summary
THE TURBULENCE OF AN AIRFLOW HAS A SIGNIFICANT IMPACT ON THE SENSATION OF DRAUGHT. A NEW MODEL OF DRAUGHT RISK IS INTRODUCED, PREDICTING THE PERCENTAGE OF PEOPLE DISSATISFIED DUE TO DRAUGHT AS A FUNCTION OF MEAN VELOCITY, TURBULENCE INTENSITY, AND TEMPERATURE OF THE AIR. THEMODEL MAY BE A USEFUL TOOL TO QUANTIFY THE DRAUGHT RISK IN SPACES AND TO SPECIFY LIMITS FOR AIR MOVEMENT IN FUTURE STANDARDS.
