THE AUTHOR BUILT TWO MODELS OF HEAT TRANSFER IN A POROUS MEDIUM MADE UP OF A SOLID AND AN INCOMPRESSIBLE VISCOUS FLUID IN THERMAL CONTACT AFTER NEWTON'S LAW. THE MAGNITUDE OF THE HEAT EXCHANGE COEFFICIENT MAKES IT POSSIBLE TO DETERMINE THEIR RESPECTIVE VALIDITY BOUNDARIES AND SHOWS THE CASE WHEN VISCOUS DISSIPATION AND CONVECTION CORRECTION FACTORS SHOULD OR SHOULD NOT BE ALLOWED FOR.
