Summary
Infrared detectors with computer enhancement can be used to validate computer models showing conduction through heat bridges in structures. The technique is used in the window industry to assess the effects of small insulated elements, and to predict condensation. The method does not interfere with convective air flows in the same way as thermocouple wires. A.R.T.
