THE MAIN ADVANTAGES OF VAV SYSTEMS ARE THEIR COST EFFECTIVENESS, DESIGN FLEXIBILITY, AND ZONE CONTROL CAPABILITY. RECENT IMPROVEMENTS TO THESE SYSTEMS INCLUDE STATIC REGAIN DUCT DESIGN COMPUTER PROGRAMS, LOWER INLET STATIC PRESSURE TERMINALS, AND THE APPLICATION OF DIGITAL CONTROLS WHICH ALLOW MORE PRECISE CONTROL OF THE FANS.
