Summary

To optimize the absorption refrigeration and heating system of LiBr aqueous solution, high efficient plate- fin absorbers with different structure and scale are tested using the setup, and the surface-active agent is added into the solution to enhance absorption. During absorption, the falling film can be observed through the front glass window on the absorber. In addition, the absorption on a local area of the film could be studied with the aid of an electro-photo analysis balance and holographic interferometry for visualizing the process of absorption enhancement. This paper compares the absorption results with and without surface-active agents and emphasizes the introduction of experimental methods and mechanisms for visualizing.
