THESE TERMS ARE EXPLAINED FOR THE TRACER-GAS DECAY METHOD. THE MOST IMPORTANT REFERENCES TO THIS SUBJECT ARE REVIEWED. THE THIRD PART DESCRIBES THE FOREGOING TERMS FOR THE TRACER-GAS TECHNIQUE WITH CONSTANT CONCENTRATION AND THE PULSE METHOD AND EXPLAINS DEFINITIONS FOR EFFICIENCY CONTAMINANT REMOVAL.
