ARI Publishes the Statistical Profile of the Air Conditioning, Heating, and Refrigeration Industry

On October 7, 2004, the Air-Conditioning and Refrigeration Institute (ARI) published the 2004 edition of the Statistical Profile of the Air Conditioning, Heating, and Refrigeration Industry. This publication provides statistical data, from numerous private and government agencies, on various categories of information relating to the air-conditioning, refrigeration and heating industry. Historical data, along with current year data is shown, making this publication especially useful to those reviewing trends in the industry. The Statistical Profile provides industry information in the following categories: - People - numbers of workers, salaries and breakouts. - Finance - number of manufacturing establishments, capital expenditure, shipment values and price indexes. - Equipment - shipments of unitary air conditioners and air source heat pumps, shipment of weighted SEERs, large tonnage chillers, room air conditioners, and gas furnaces. - Distribution - houses with central air conditioning and heating, mobile homes, automobiles and the saturation of air conditioning in new construction.
