ShareATMOsphere MAC Summit 2024 x TU Berlin: natural refrigerants for mobile air conditioning and heat pumps
On 12 and 13 September 2024, the ATMOsphere MAC Summit 2024 was held in Berlin, co-organised with the Technical University of Berlin (TU Berlin).
This event, recognised as a key forum for players in the refrigeration and air-conditioning sector, brought together more than a hundred participants, including industry, decision-makers and R&D experts from all over the world to discuss a central theme: the future of natural refrigerants in Mobile Air Conditioning (MAC) systems.
The ATMO Summit 2024 focused on sustainable innovation in refrigerants, with a particular emphasis on MAC systems using CO2 and propane. These alternatives are part of the fight against climate change by aiming to reduce the carbon footprint of refrigeration and air-conditioning systems.
In collaboration with the TU Berlin, the event also highlighted the latest academic research and technological innovations. Numerous sessions were devoted to the current challenges and opportunities presented by the transition to environmentally-friendly refrigerants.
