Automobile technology: what’s new?

Delphi Corporation has developed a reversible CO 2 car air-conditioning system using air-coolant heat-pump technology. Delphi says that the system allows better integration into the vehicle and a higher performance-to-cost ratio than other functional concepts and prevents high-pressure refrigerant from entering the passenger cabin. http://www.delphi.com/media Air Products has developed hydrogen filling stations. Its Series 100 filling stations comprise integrated compression, hydrogen storage and a dispensing system and each station contains enough hydrogen to refuel 2-3 cars a day. The stations can be easily moved from site to site and will refuel the first hydrogen cars on the roads. http://www.airproducts.co.uk/news/2005-07-27.htm
