BETTED: IIR invites dairy companies to join tailored energy-efficiency training

The BETTED project has made its free e-learning program available to professionals across the dairy value chain. The IIR is also inviting expressions of interest from Europe-based dairy companies wishing to receive tailored energy-efficiency training delivered as part of the project.

The project BETTED – Boosting Energy Transition of ThE Dairy Value Chain – is co-funded by the EU LIFE Programme and led by the University of Brescia, Italy. It aims to help companies across the dairy sector adopt energy-efficiency measures, renewables and heat pump technologies. The IIR contributes its expertise in refrigeration and cold chain systems to the project.

E-learning programme

A free, 16-module e-learning programme is now available to professionals across the dairy value chain. It covers cold chains, heat pumps, renewables, energy management (ISO 50001), measurement and verification, and life-cycle assessment. Each module includes a presentation and a Training Handbook. Participants who complete all modules receive a BETTED Certificate of Participation.

Tailored training for dairy companies

The IIR is inviting expressions of interest from Europe-based companies in the dairy industry, at any stage of the value chain, to receive tailored energy-efficiency training using tools developed as part of the BETTED project.
