Prof. Boris Adolfovitch Minkus died on February 12, 2004. Aged almost 100, Prof. Minkus was a founder of and taught at the Odessa State Academy of Refrigeration (Ukraine). He was a renowned specialist in the field of absorption refrigeration. He was highly thought of both in his scientific endeavours and for his human qualities.
