Discover the winners of the prestigious awards presented at the 51st HVAC&R Congress and Exhibition

Despite being organised under particular circumstances this year, the Congress maintained high interest from key refrigeration stakeholders across Europe.

Co-sponsored by the IIR, the 51st HVAC&R Congress and Exhibition was held online on December 2-4, 2020.

 

The event featured several video-addresses from Prof. Branislav Todorović, President of the Serbian HVAC&R Society, Charles Gulledge III, President of ASHRAE, Dider Coulomb, IIR Director General, Halvart Koppen, UNEP OzonAction ECA Network Coordinator, and Frank Hovorka, President of REHVA, as well as a Virtual Exhibition space for the leading companies in the field.

 

Annual Awards

 

Several prestigious awards were presented during the 2020 Congress edition:

  • KGH Plaque 2018 was awarded to Mihailo Petrović; the highest recognition awarded upon proposal of colleagues.

  • KGH Medal 2020 was awarded to Zoran Blagojević, Aleksandar Vukićević-Sarap, Aleksandar Štokić and Branimir Petrović for their noteworthy contributions to the HVAC&R profession.

  • KGH Medal was awarded tothe company MPG-KGH from Belgrade, Serbia, on the occasion of 30 years of successful work.

  • Certificate of Appreciation to the General Patron of the 49th HVAC&R Congress and Exhibition was awarded to the company Energy Net from Kać, Serbia.

  • Diploma for the best article in the “KGH“ journal in 2020 was awarded to Jovan Pantelić and Kwok Wai Tham, for their paper "Adequacy of air change rate as the sole indicator of an air distribution system’s effectiveness to mitigate airborne infectious disease transmission caused by a cough release in the room with overhead mixing ventilation: a case study".
