Qatar is the second fastest growing DC (district cooling) market in the GCC (Gulf Cooperation Council) and has become one of the most attractive DC business hubs.
DC in Qatar has reached a penetration rate of 10% in 2014 and increasing steadily year after year. In terms of DC penetration, Doha ranks second among GCC cities, just after Dubai.

There are two DC major service providers: QatarCool and Marafeq Qatar.

The FIFA World Cup 2022 is expected to drive the growth of DC in Qatar which is projected to grow at 18% CAGR over the next 5 years.
