The 23rd International Congress of Refrigeration (ICR2011) will take place in Prague on August 21-26, 2011. This will be the key refrigeration event in 2011 and will deal with all facets of refrigeration and refrigeration technology. Around 1000 participants are expected to attend. All IIR commissions (Cryophysics, cryoengineering; Liquefaction & separation of gases; Thermodynamics & transfer processes; Refrigerating equipment; Cryobiology, cryomedicine; Food science & engineering; Refrigerated storage; Refrigerated transport; Air conditioning; Heat pumps, energy recovery) will meet in Prague. The IIR's Sub-commissions and working parties (Refrigerant Charge Reduction in Refrigerating Systems, Energy Labelling in the Cold Chain, Preservation of Genetic Resources, Cold Chain Optimization, Cold Chain for Pharmaceutical Products, Magnetic refrigeration, Mitigation of Direct Emissions of Greenhouse Gases in Refrigeration, Phase-Change Materials and Slurries for Refrigeration and Air Conditioning, Data and Models for Refrigeration and Freezing Foods, Refrigerant System Safety) will also meet, and several workshops on IIR-related activities such as Frisbee will also be held. These meetings and workshops will bring together experts in all these fields. Send your abstracts now and prepare your papers: consult the Congress Web site, www.icr2011.org or the IIR's site.
